The next step that comes after choosing your preferred type of weft is selecting a method to attach them. Here are a few ways you can attach weft extensions:

Tape in Weft Extensions

Tape-in extensions are a non-permanent method of attaching extensions. They are held in place using a strip of glue on top of the hair that attaches to the locks. When done properly, they should ideally serve you for 6-8 weeks.

Sew in Weft Hair Extensions

Hair is first sown into braids, after which extensions are attached to the braids using a needle and thread. This type of application usually lasts for many hours, and most people report experiencing pain. It may not be suitable for people with thin hair.

Micro Link Hair Extensions

Suitable for individuals who don’t want to use glue or heat. The wefts and natural hair are attached using tiny beads and can last anywhere from three to four months.

Clip-in Weft Hair Extensions

A method used to add hair volume or length by using clip-in extensions that come in and out seamlessly. They are durable and can last up to a year. However, removing them after several months would be best to prevent breakages and dryness.

Bond Weft Extensions

These types of weft are attached using heat to enable the extensions to bond each extension to natural hair at the root. Bond weft extensions can last around 6 months when attached and cared for properly.
