Elevate Your Look with a Single Process Color at Hair Studio 7
One of our most tried-and-true techniques here at Hair Studio 7 is single process color. By applying one color throughout the hair, you can achieve a vibrant, even tone in just one session. Of course, everyone is different, and results may vary depending on how often your hair has been bleached or colored in the past. In order to get the perfect look, we personalize our single process color services to each client.
What is Single Process Color?
What is a single process color? It’s one of the fastest, easiest, and most cost-effective ways to color your hair. With a single process color application, stylists cover the hair entirely with one shade, let it sit for 30–45 minutes, then rinse. The result is beautiful, even coverage that leaves your hair feeling healthy and fresh.
Other methods like highlights, double-process coloring, and balayage typically use bleach to achieve lightness, before adding color to the hair. While these other methods can add more dimension to your look, they’re also more damaging to the hair than single process color. They also take longer and are more expensive.

Along with a lower price and shorter appointment time, there are several benefits to a single process hair color treatment.
Full, Even Coverage:
Because this technique uses just one shade, single process color provides a uniform look throughout the hair. At Hair Studio 7, our professional single color products are vibrant, providing your hair with shine and dimension.
Gentle and Versatile for All Hair Types:
A common misconception about single process color is that it’s only for virgin hair or even-toned hair. In reality, this technique works well for both natural and color-treated hair, and is much gentler than bleach. Your stylist will be able to discern which strands need more processing time, based on the current state of color-treated hair.
Great for Root Touch-Ups:
One of the most common use cases for single process color is root touch-ups. Whether you have gray hair, or your current color has grown out after several weeks, root touch-up appointments are quick, cost-effective, and provide even color.

Hair Studio 7’s Single Process Color
At Hair Studio 7, our expert stylists are here to make sure you’re completely happy with your single process hair color appointment. Whether this is your first time dying your hair, or the 100th, we’re confident you’ll love the results.
Consultation
First and foremost, it’s important for us to get a clear picture of what you’re looking for. Take a look at our high-quality single process color options and find the tone that suits you best.
Test Strand
Next, we typically apply the single process color to a test strand of hair before a full application. Test strands show us how your hair will react, and reveal any color inconsistencies.
Color Application
Once we know the color will be a good fit, it’s time to apply all over. This can take up to two hours if you have a lot of hair, but can be as quick as 30 minutes—especially for a root touch-up.
Styling
After the color has processed, one of our stylists will wash and style your hair. You’ll love how soft and healthy your hair feels afterward!

I-Tip Hair Extensions FAQs
Should I wash my hair before foil highlights?
Most people think not washing their hair will make the coloring more intense and vibrant. This is a myth. We advise that you wash your hair before a foil highlights appointment so that the hair color will mix with your hair better. It is also easier for our stylists to handle your hair when it is clean. However, you can wash your hair without shampoo to allow the natural oils in your hair to protect your scalp from irritation caused by dye.
Can you get foil highlights while pregnant?
Some studies show that hair dye chemicals can be harmful to pregnant women. However, the quantity of hair dye needed to apply foil highlights is small and is not enough to harm a pregnant woman or fetus
When can I wash my hair after foil highlights?
It is advisable to wait 48-72 hours before getting highlights before washing your hair. This is because hair dyes completely absorb the color in 72 hours.
How long should the foil highlights process take?
The foil highlights process basically takes 2-4 hours. However, getting partial foil highlights might take less than 2 hours, while full foil highlights take 2-4 hours.
