Transform Your Look with a Hair Glaze Treatment at Hair Studio 7
If you’re looking for a subtle, quick way to freshen up your hair, enhance your hair color, and decrease frizz, a hair glaze treatment is a great option. At Hair Studio 7, our stylists use professional-grade glaze ingredients that make your hair feel healthy, soft, and luminous.
What is a Hair Glaze?
So what is a hair glaze exactly? Products vary by salon, but in general, a hair glaze is a semi-permanent treatment that coats the hair to add shine, moisture, and a hint of color. Think of it like a super-charged deep conditioner that also provides depth and vibrancy. The results from a hair glaze typically last 2–3 weeks.
Hair Glaze vs. Hair Gloss
While the two sound similar, a hair glaze treatment is actually different from a hair gloss treatement. Hair gloss is a little bit more permanent than a glaze, and more commonly associated with adding color to the hair. A hair gloss penetrates the cuticle, so it lasts longer than a hair glaze—about 6–8 weeks.

Sometimes your hair just needs a little TLC, and a hair glaze treatment is perfect for that. Along with being quick and easy, glaze products leaves your hair feeling fresh and healthier than before.
Boosts Shine and Smoothness:
A glaze is a great way to wake up and energize your hair. Whether you deal with frizziness, tired curls, or flatness, a glaze can help smooth things out and bring it back to life.
Enhances Natural Color:
Another perk of a glaze hair treatment is that it enhances your natural tones, and refreshes color-treated hair. You’ll see brightness, dimension, and vibrancy after just one treatment.
Adds Protection:
Glazes don’t just make your hair look great, they also help protect it! Our glaze products create a protective barrier that mitigates damage from UV rays, heat styling, and other elements.

Our Hair Glaze Process at Hair Studio 7
At Hair Studio 7, our priority is making sure our clients look and feel their best. If you’re interested in a hair glaze treatment, simply let one of our expert stylists know, and we’ll get to work.
Get Hair Wet
Typically, we start by washing your hair, or wetting it down. This opens the hair cuticles, and makes application easier.
Apply the Glaze
Next, we apply the glaze product throughout your hair with professional technique. Our stylists make sure to coat every strand thoroughly to ensure the product’s effectiveness.
Wait Patiently
Once your hair is fully coated, we let the glaze product sit for 20–40 minutes. Bring your headphones or a good book while you wait, and you’ll be done in no time.
Style to Perfection
Once the treatment is complete, we rinse off the product, dry your hair, and style it with professional tools and products.

How Long Does a Hair Glaze Last?
Depending on how frequently you wash your hair at home, and what products you use, the results of a hair glaze treatment can last anywhere from 1–3 weeks. We recommend washing 2–3 times per week and styling with a gentle dry shampoo on the off days. Harsh products will strip away the glaze quickly, so be sure to ask your stylist for shampoo and conditioner recommendations to use at home to prolong the results.

I-Tip Hair Extensions FAQs
Should I wash my hair before foil highlights?
Most people think not washing their hair will make the coloring more intense and vibrant. This is a myth. We advise that you wash your hair before a foil highlights appointment so that the hair color will mix with your hair better. It is also easier for our stylists to handle your hair when it is clean. However, you can wash your hair without shampoo to allow the natural oils in your hair to protect your scalp from irritation caused by dye.
Can you get foil highlights while pregnant?
Some studies show that hair dye chemicals can be harmful to pregnant women. However, the quantity of hair dye needed to apply foil highlights is small and is not enough to harm a pregnant woman or fetus
When can I wash my hair after foil highlights?
It is advisable to wait 48-72 hours before getting highlights before washing your hair. This is because hair dyes completely absorb the color in 72 hours.
How long should the foil highlights process take?
The foil highlights process basically takes 2-4 hours. However, getting partial foil highlights might take less than 2 hours, while full foil highlights take 2-4 hours.
